The Founder
Olivia Onuk (‘Liv) is a socially-engaged interdisciplinary artist, curator, and consultant whose work explores the depths of human experience through writing, visual art, and participatory installations.
Rooted in the truth of Art as Therapy, her practice centres on social connection, wellbeing, and meaning-making. Olivia is passionate about the human desire to create and channels her expressive energy through poetry, storytelling, media arts, photography, painting, printmaking, crafting, drumming, textile art, and mixed media work with found and natural materials. Her material choices are deeply connected to lineage, memory, and place, drawing on these elements to explore how identity is shaped by where we come from and where we settle. Through her work, she connects with diverse audiences and encourages them to connect further with themselves and one another.
With a background in family violence & conflict resolution, and over 13 years of experience in event coordination, curation, and consultation, Olivia provides support to, facilitates arts-based wellness workshops for, and develops/manages projects and programs for artists, collectives, and corporate/non-profit organizations. From 2024-2025, she served as the inaugural Artist in Residence in Government for the City of Ottawa, working with the Integrated Neighbourhood Services Team to explore creative solutions to civic challenges.
Her practice also extends into digital design and web development, exploring how technology, UX, and interactivity can enhance storytelling and research to create sustainable, meaningful, user-centered experiences. It continues to expand as she does.
